Pat Lambie will be the centre of attention when the Sharks come up against the Blue Bulls as the youngster finds himself playing in the No.11 jersey alongside captain Stefan Terblanche.Lambie-Lions-Sharks_2443463

Lambie has come through a huge season so far unscathed and with each match living up to the claim that he is going to be the next big thing in SA rugby. But why on earth is he now going to be forced to play out of his position?

At fullback he has read the game like a veteran and joined the line well on occasion however I have a question mark regarding his pace and on more than one instance have seen him struggling to keep in the chase for the ball. The Blue Bulls will be looking at this change and stomping their hoofs in anticipation with Watermeyer believing that he will easily out muscle Lambie.

How he will fair at inside centre remains to be seen but it will be his toughest test to date and he will be expected to execute a few more tackles but he will also be closer to the action and use his silky skills to good effect. I am hoping we are not about to witness a 'Frans Steyn Experiment' that permanently stunts the future of one of the country's biggest talents.

Coach John Plumtree has made a big call in axing Rory Kockott and replacing him with Charl McLeod who has always proved a solid players whenever he has taken the field. With the option of using Lambie for the kicks at posts Kockott is going to have a fight on his hands to get back into the action.

It is going to be great to see JP Pietersen back on the wing both for a Sharks perspective and for the Springboks who could do with the experience he offers.

The Sharks will be looking for a big turnaround at home after the shocking display they dished up against Griquas and another loss is going to make this a very forgettable season for the Sharks faithful.

Sharks: Louis Ludik; JP Pietersen, Stefan Terblanche (capt), Patrick Lambie, Lwazi Mvovo; Steve Meyer, Charl McLeod, Keegan Daniel, Michael Rhodes, Jacques Botes, Alistair Hargreaves, Steven Sykes, Wiehahn Herbst, Craig Burden, Patric Cilliers.

Substitutes: Kyle Cooper, Eugene van Staden, Ross Skeate, Skholiwe Ndlovu, Rory Kockott, Monty Dumond, Andries Strauss.
