Another Virtual Bye for the UnstoppaBulls vs Canes

Here's a trick question for Bulls fans: Which week in the Super 14 is, was or will be the Bulls bye week ? A few smug jokersmorne reckon Week 5's 50 – 35 drubbing of the Highlanders could conceivably be counted as a 'bye' and even worse, the same merry jokers reckon this weekend – the 2010 Super 14's Week 6, against the faltering Hurricanes is their REAL 'bye' Week.

I don't know. Officially, the Bulls bye was in Week 4 and although they've created a long-list of virtual byes, I wouldn't be too hasty writing off the Hurricanes this Friday even at Loftus.

Even though I'm sure All Black Cory Jane won't be doing much more than removing his Fijian 'tattoo' this weekend (courtesy of Sireli Naqelevuki), the Hurricanes are not yet dead and buried. It'll be a tough ask for them to bounce back, but stranger things have happened in this years competition already (see Reds 41 – Crusaders 20).

Just how they'll set about their task of dismantling the near unstoppable Bulls will be something to watch. Who do you reckon's getting a better nights sleep ? Hurricanes head coach, Colin Cooper or Bulls boss Frans Ludeke ?

Deon Stegmann returns and it's going to be interesting to see how the Bulls front row face up to Andrew Hore and his men.

Prediction: Bulls by enough but closer than you'd like

It is so predictable. Bulls will have to just keep their feet on the ground but the cup is their for the taking.
