What has been a characteristic of the Bulls play thus far has been the difference between their first half and second half performances. In each game they have surprisingly been unable to control the match and have had to lift their game for the last 40 minutes to secure a victory. In fact in only a single match this year have they gone into half time in the lead.
The Blues will without doubt be their most challenging encounter the Bulls have had so far and they have proved this year that they are a side to be taken seriously. They urgently need a win to keep their hands on the playoffs and another loss would almost certainly condemn them to the bottom half of the table. That fact along with home ground advantage and a fully fledged All Black front row should just about give them the edge over the Bulls who honestly do not need to win this one, their place in the semis is virtually secured already.
It is an old adage but I think it will really come down to which team really wants the win more. On paper you would expect the Bulls to record there 14th out of their last 15 Super rugby wins, but a wise rugby watcher would have to agree the motivation to win tips the balances heavily in the favour of the Blues.
Prediction: Hoping for a great game of rugby, but have the slightest inkling that the Bulls will.

covered them with glory. Scrapping home by a single point against the Hurricanes and then struggling to put away bottom feeders The Force last weekend makes one wonder if this could be their piesang of the season.
