Januarie has been out of condition for a couple of seasons now and he could easily be playing in the front row with his bulk that regularly sees him swerving amongst defenders with the dexterity of a aircraft carrier.
Dewalt Duvenage gets his chance to start against the Highlanders and the fleet footed No.9 must be relishing his opportunity to link up with Peter Grant. His inclusion already adds some spark to the Stormers backline which was sorely missing as they sleep walked to a win against the Cheetahs.
Gio Aplon is also back in the team and Jaque Fourie finds himself on the bench and must be inching to get a chance to stretch his legs.
The hooker woes for the Stormers seems to have been temporarily halted as Ethienne Reyneke will play whilst on loan from Saracens.
